It has been Karen Doolittle’s goal at It’s A Dog’s Life to create a boarding facility for dogs that is relaxed and does not feel like a traditional kennel.

Karen is a graduate of Sonoma State University and holds a Consultant/Instructor Training Academy certificate issued by the Marin Humane Society and a Pet Care Technician certificate issued by the American Boarding Kennel Association.

She has worked in the pet industry since 1990. Her experience includes 12 years as a kennel manager, and she is a highly sought-after consultant for dog behavioral issues.

Karen has hand picked her staff for It's A Dog's Life. Among them are individuals that both love dogs and are loved by them. All of the staff at It’s A Dog’s Life are required to participate in ongoing education in dog training and animal health.
